On July 12, 2011 we investigated the Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon. There are numerous reports of pictures moving, the smell of roses and just a strong presence.
We started off downstairs and I immediately felt something following me. This entity followed me almost the entire tour! We had a very strong emf reading on this one couch area, it kept flashing like crazy. It would not interact with us in an intelligent manner though.
I also, captured an evp in this small room where I felt the presence the strongest. The recording captured a faint "hello", it was a women's voice.
We continued our searching around the lovely rooms and I did another evp session in one of the bedrooms. This evp is very faint and the only reason I noticed it was because it talks when we are talking. It is a strong whisper almost sounds like breathing. At first I thought is was breathing but once I noticed it could not be us, I listened closer. It is a male voice saying "I'm heading back." Was he following us around to have to say this?
We continued through the house with no other happenings and we were about to leave. We went to the ladies room and walked back into the hallway. We stood there talking for a minute when I heard the motion towel dispenser go off. We were standing right outside the bathroom door and we knew nobody was in there. So we immediately went into the bathroom (the least place we would ever think of investigating). The emf meter was flashing again like crazy. Was difficult to get any intelligent response. I believe that there could be some residual haunting there. I did not capture anymore evps.
That sums up our investigation at the old Pittock Mansion. I originally was a skeptic about the reports of ghost but now am a firm believer that there is something.
